Live event artists, organizers launch 1st singing competition for a cause

As social distancing and stay-at-home directives have taken its toll in the events industry, it has become hard to have fun and be entertained.

Trying to make the most out of the digital platforms available, events host and producer Ralph Kim Paguio launches an online show spreading of virus of positivity and generosity.

Dubbed ‘Battle of Champions,’ the online singing competition, which streams live on facebook.com/battleofchampionsph every Tuesday, 8:00 p.m., features some of today's singing champs and social media personalities, together with partner companies, helping in this time of need.

Every week, two singers battle it out to win for their chosen beneficiary as they get judged through online voting and by special jurors, including world-class musicians such as ‘Celebrity Voice Coach’ Jeanne Vicars, award-winning musical director Adonis Tabanda, and jazz artist and voice coach Emcy Corteza.

Each winner donates the cash prize to chosen beneficiaries like lung cancer patient Elena Opiana, cervical cancer patient Geli Yray, and the Feast Mercy Ministry Jesus Christ Cares for Cancer Inc.

’Battle of Champions’ is directed and made possible by Live Events Director and Organizer, Ms. Kathryn Kim Torres, Live Streaming Partner Kim Torres Events. Social Media Partner Events Embassy headed by Ms. Cathy Ebuen, Digital Media Partner Canva Philippines, Show Coordinator Memory Aisle Events and Musical Director Mr. Adonis Tabanda.
